NaNoWriMo month! What a wonderful event. I’m wishing all the participants success. In just 30 days everyone will have drafted a novel. How cool is that?
It's lovely to switch off the internal editor and just write. No going back, just forward, until you reach your goal. There’s a freedom in writing that way. It brings out a streak of creativity we don’t always realize we had.
Two years ago, I made up my own writing challenge … a shortened, less grueling version, my goal was 14k in 14days, and because I write erotic romance I called it Write Sexy Fast, or WriSeFast.
I asked some other writers if they wanted to do it with me.
Two said yes:
This year, fall is once again my window of opportunity, and I’m going to do a WriSeFast again.
My goal is at least 14K in 14 days (for me this is fast. lol) I have a toehold on a sexy, short story that needs to be written.
I’m committed now. Wish me luck. (I’d love some Tweets to cheer me on.)
If you want to write something WriSeFast style, let me know, we’ll cheer each other on.
And to all the wonderful erotic and romance writers, no matter where you are with your sizzlin’ hot Work-In-Progress…Keep writing your passion.
I’m off to my writer’s cave.
PS, Just a reminder that Nov. 1st is National Author’s Day, and it would be awesome if everyone shared some love by writing a review for a book you enjoyed, or click some ‘likes’ on good reviews or author pages. The authors will appreciate it.
(I think there should be a Romance Authors Day also … It would be “RAD” :)
